This week is full of pageant competitions...it seems as if there's one every night. Unfortunately there's only two of us so we can't be at them all. Kaye Marie's Annual Turkey Shoot

We will be hosting our annual turkey shoot November 15th to raise money for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the way a turkey shoot works…5-10 people line up and shoot at a target and the person with the most shots in the circle wins! Don’t worry girls; we have lots of prizes for you too, so come along with your boyfriends and show them that girly girls can shoot too!

Wow, time has flown by! It’s already been 7 years since Alli and I opened Kaye Marie’s. It seems like just yesterday we were standing with many family and friends at our Grand Opening. Since then we’ve dressed many of you for that first middle school pageant and are now helping you pick that final prom dress. Others have come back for that special day…your wedding. It has been such an honor to work with each of you during these special moments. We look forward to helping you choose the perfect dress for your next special event!

Kaye Marie's 2008-2009 Teen Board

Kaye Marie's is currently searching for candidates for the 2008-2009 Teen Board. Applicants should be young women, between the ages of thirteen and eighteen, who are well rounded, outgoing and have an interest in fashion, retail, public relations/marketing and communtiy service.

The Teen Board members are an integral part of the success of Kaye Marie's activities and events. As a Teen Board member you will have an opportunity to:

*participate in fashion shows and parades
*learn basic modeling techniques, as well as make-up application and fashion coordination
*learn techniques in presenting yourself and working with the public
*help raise funds for local charities and community programs such as the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life

Miss Upstate Relay For Life 2008

This past weekend, Team Kaye Marie's hosted the very first Miss Upstate Relay For Life Pageant at Greer High School. It was such an amazing event filled with 59 beautiful contestants ranging from 2 1/2 to 20 years old. With the help of these contestants and their supporters we were able to raise $7150 in the fight against cancer. Congratulations to all who participated!

Tiny Miss and Master 3 to 4 years
Wee Miss and Master K5 to 2nd grade
Little Miss and Master 3rd to 5th grade
Junior Miss 6th to 8th grade
Teen Miss 9th to 12th grade
Miss College


Entry fee is $25 and each contestant is asked to raise an additional $25 in community sponsors. An award will be given to the contestant who raises the most money. The other area of competition is the Photogenic Award. To participate the contestant much turn in $5 and a 5x7 picture with their entry form. The entry fee and registration form must be returned to Kaye Marie’s on or before April 16th.
